SWACHH BHARAT MISSION--VISION OF GREEN AND CLEAN INDIA

It was not so long ago there was nationwide euphoria in people when our newly elected P.M Mr.Narendra  Modi launched his flagship mission named ‘Swachh Bharat Abhiyan’ which emphasized on the cleanliness of nation. The mission was launched on 2nd October 2014 i.e. Gandhi Jayanti. As Bapu always give importance to cleanliness, so this was the best day to launch the mission.  We all were learning the importance of cleanliness from our childhood and also keep ourselves and our home clean. But our PM brought it to next level and given speeches on every occasion about the importance of this mission.
Citizens were also happy as they were begin to see the hope of “Achhe Din” (pre-poll slogan of BJP) when P.M himself cleaned the road publicly and set the examples for others. PM also appointed some prominent people of the society from different field to endorse this mission and make it successful. From these many are still working for the cause seriously. After that daily in news paper or on TV we can see poticians and other govt officials featuring in video or pictures showing them cleaning the streets or the offices. It becomes day to day routine on media. Everyone was taking part in this mission but most of them were taking part for the sake of photo. But slowly slowly all enthusiasm was lost and everyone forgotten the mission. Now no one talks about it. Govt officials still say that all is well and mission is succeeding as it has to.
But the real picture came in light when MCD staffs in New Delhi called the strike and there were cluster of dump thrown on every part of the city. So how can we expect this mission to be successful until and unless we clean our system. There are many such cases which will actually tell the truth about this mission. But I am not here to criticize govt. my main aim is to place my opinion for other people. As we know for the growth of country citizens are more responsible than govt.  We should not blame govt every time. Govt is there to make policies for us but we have to implement them for development. We have to become aware and raise our voices when needed.
In my opinion ‘Swachh Bharat Abhiyan’ will not succeed only by removing dirt from roads and offices. We actually have to remove dirt from inside us i.e. dirt of corruption, dirt of selfishness etc. Also govt have to remove dirt from system by implementing the policies which are transparent and citizen friendly as well as employee’s family so that they don’t have to call strike for payments and they can be able to perform their job duties well.
After removing these all dirts which we don’t see govt have to take steps for making this mission succeed by providing better infrastructure  for public toilets, key point placing of dustbins in public area so that no one litters on road. Also taking measures to check on the cleanliness of all amenities on regular intervals. Strictly inform all shopkeepers to place dustbin so that no one throw anything on road in front of shop also charge penalty if anyone violates rule. But it can be done once our govt give that infrastructure and facilities to the citizens. Also encourage everyone for planting trees. If these small measures will be followed honestly then very soon our nation will be ‘GREEN & CLEAN INDIA’.
